Coral Flint is a small cafe with a big oven. We roast in small batches, bake every morning and cook a short seasonal menu. Stop in for a flat white, or stay until the last slice is gone.
We keep the menu short so everything on it can be done well. Our cafe runs on three simple habits.
Our beans are roasted in small lots each week and rested before brewing. We rotate a house espresso with a seasonal filter coffee.
Croissants, loaves and cakes come out of our own oven every morning. What doesn't sell by close goes into tomorrow's bread pudding.
Lunch follows the market. The plates change often, and there is always a vegetable-led option at the centre of the menu.
The oven's open and the takeaway window is busy. This is the best time to catch warm croissants.
Seasonal plates, shared tables and a lively room. It's great for a lunch catch-up.
The quiet stretch of the day, with filter coffee, a slice of something and room to read or work.
A long communal table, window counters and a quieter back corner. It's a room made for chatting, reading and getting a little work done.
We host small groups for brunches, birthdays and team mornings, and we prepare pastry platters to take away. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll reply with options.
Yes. There are plant-based dishes every day, and most days we have gluten-free bakes. Allergen information for each item is at the counter, and our team is happy to talk it through.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the front of the cafe and at the window counter. We keep a water bowl by the door.
Not for everyday visits, since tables are first come, first served. For groups of six or more, send us an enquiry so we can hold the long table.
We can, with a few days' notice. Use the gatherings form to share the date, size and flavours you like, and we'll suggest what's in season.
